From the Sellwood to St John's there are so many bridges
lets name them all tonight
Morrison, Broadway, Steele,
over the Willamette its bridgetown baby yeah
St. John's Tillicum Crossing, drive across Portland tonight
Ross Island, Hawthorne, Markham, Burnside, Fremont, 5.1 and then there's Sellwood. Bridgetown baby rocking over Portland tonight
The oldest bridge in Portland built 1910, Hawthorn is its name replaced the Madison, the Fremont decks will take a driver pretty high if you're driving highway 30 or the 405. Burnside is a source of Rip City pride, there's a VooDoo donuts on either side.
The Steel Bridge in downtown is one of a kind
A telescoping bridge it will blow your mind
Morrison and Broadway are bascule style
if you cross them while they're raising you'll be waiting awhile
Sellwood is a truss bridge it looks really nice
if you knew its safety rating it will make you think twice
Here comes the bridge
St. John's is a suspension built by Brooklyn men
Tillicum's another for pedestrians it takes trains too but
Amtrak goes on 5.1 there's a cantilever bridge called Ross Island
Markham is the busiest it carries I-5
there's no place like Stumptown to learn how to drive.
